At The Farm Shop Petersfield, as well as providing locally grown produce we are now pushing a no UPF agenda. For those that do not know what UPF stands for it is Ultra Processed Food. Having the word ‘food’ in the title is really an oxymoron due to the fact nhst ahtt the additives and flavourings cannot really be called food;When you purchase a pre packaged food product from a supermarket take a look at the ingredients on the reverse of the pack you will see E numbers, emulsifiers, flavourings and many more items that you would not find in your kitchen. They give no nutrition and in many cases can create addictions and contribute to obesity, and in turn type 2 diabetes and cancer.
We take great care at The Farm Shop Petersfield to keep any UPFs to a minimum and endeavour to ensure that any flavourings or sweeteners are based in nature. Fine coffee, a selection of teas, natural yoghurts and kefir are just a few of the healthy products you will find at the farm shop as well as fruit and vegetables, free range eggs and locally sourced meats from sustainable farms. You shouldn’t just be starting a new diet for 2025, you should start a new way of life starting with what you eat and then to see how it transforms your health, energy and life.
